How would you describe your music style?

Is it the same as when you started?

"My current music style bounces between a future bass vibe and future pop."

"When I first started out, I was only making progressive house, and have since moved on. Nonetheless, I still like to use some of the melodic elements I practiced when I first started in my new music as well."

"Ultimately, I enjoy making music that is dominated by catchy melodies."

What artists influences did/do you look up to?

"I was very into hip-hop and rap in my youth. I often found myself searching the internet for hours looking for the newest tracks that nobody had heard. I soon became the “music guy” amongst my friends. Although, it wasn’t until my freshman year of high school (2010) that I got into EDM."

"The song that started it all was, Shot Clock by Aer."

"It was a hip-hop cover to the instrumental of "Levels". I could not get enough of the instrumental and soon found out it was produced by Avicii. Relentlessly, I searched the internet for this new type of music that I had heard and immediately was drawn to artists like Kap Slap and 3lau for their incredible mashup skills."

"3lau especially has resonated with me not only for his music, but through his philanthropic attitude and his engagement with his fans. Nowadays, I am inspired by guys like DJ Snake, Martin Garrix, and Illenium, among so many others."

How long have you been producing for?

"I have unofficially been producing for five years, but I have been seriously producing for  years."

What are some of your favorite plug-ins?

"Some of my favorite plug-ins include: Serum, Sylenth 1, and Nexus, but I truly couldn’t live without the Waves plug-in bundle."

What is your proudest moment so far?

"My proudest moment so far would probably be signing my DJ Snake remix of, ‘A Different Way’ to French label, La Fréquence. Although it was not an official remix, the feedback on it was incredible, and it was able to bypass some big-name artists’ remixes in likes and plays."

How is it balancing school and making music?

"Balancing school and music has been tough. I often find myself studying but wanting to just go make more music (and sometimes I end up doing that)."

I started to mess around with acapellas and instrumentals, creating my own mashups which soon turned into making my own music (primarily remixes). Fast-forward to my junior year in college and I was getting some serious attention from my friends and soundcloud followers on remixes, all while playing shows around my college campus as well as others in the Midwest.

"Nonetheless, getting a degree is very important to me and there are a lot of benefits being on an overly saturated campus with people from all over the country. It helps disperse my music to different parts of the US with ease."

If you did something else (outside of music), what would it be?

"With my background in entrepreneurship and economics, I would most likely try and start my own company--most likely centered around something like marketing or wealth management."

If you were stranded on a desert island, what album would you have with you?

"Illenium - Awake"

Chipotle or Qdoba?

"Chipotle, without a doubt."

"If you like Qdoba more, you’re a robot."

"Chipotle’s vinaigrette is a next level advantage alongside their superior white rice and chips."
